HARRISON STREET OFFICES, SAN FRANCISCO
The design of the Seven Hills Office Building capitalized on limited street frontage on Harrison by creating a unique building identity while preserving most of the functional interiors. The glazed facade is stepped back at the tall first floor, allowing for a planted green edge as a graceful transition to the interior. The interior stairs are centered in the building, maximizing both the front and back exposures. The upper two stories house the offices of the project's developer. The offices begin at the exit stairs, which open directly into the interior through fuse-like operable partitions. The project also maximized the daylight into the interior with rated property line windows and clerestories
