As part of the Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD), Levy Design Partners is working with TNDC (Tenderloin Neighborhood Development Corp), known for their work of improving communities and providing more affordable housing to our communities, will acquire Rosa Parks located at 1251 Turk Street a 11-story, 198-unit building currently owned and operated by the Housing Authority of the City and County of San Francisco. Under HUD’s Rental Assistance Demonstration (RAD) program, the building will be receiving an occupied rehabilitation of the building ensuring temporary relocation of current residents while coordinating the building’s physical improvements which will include new interior unit finishes throughout, upgraded mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, improved fire protections, and new mobility and enhanced communication units. There will also be significant common area improvements as well as a reconfiguration of office space for property management and support services. Current residents will be temporarily relocated on a floor-by-floor basis to accommodate construction.
